LARRESSINGLE AND US

Le Tilleul was built in 1790, immediately after the French Revolution, and the same year that France was first divided into départements. The date is engraved in a stone, above a window of Le Figuier as a testimony of the past. The cottages are part of the village of Larressingle, close to its beautiful 13th century fortress and are approximately 5/10 minutes from the picturesque medieval  town of Condom which has a number of restaurants and a lively market.

There were so many things which attracted us to the Gers: the unspoilt countryside which is beautiful whatever the season, the many medieval villages and churches, (Fourcès with its uniquely shaped square, Montréal, the Roman villa of Seviac ) but above all the friendliness of the Gersois. There is always something to see or do if you want to. But one of our favorite things is just to relax on the terrace with a glass of wine and a bowl of olives from the market and listen to the songs of the birds.
